July 16th, 1991 is what the Vault of Silliness has unlocked for us.
I will call this the Cacophonous Comedy Cavalcade
We begin with Norm commenting on how quiet the night was. Well, that comes to a crashing halt with a raucous DBG.
The cast of characters include:
Steve and his wife Linda from Wellesley
Dan from Utica, NY
Wolfie from Brookline! The poor-man’s W.C. Fields
Andrew in Natick
Tony on the phone
Mike Epstein - playing and producing from parts unknown
And Jack Harte in traffic
The pun-filled Bdays:
Bess Meyerson
Orville Redenbacher
Dick Thornberg – I point out an important historical fact
Stuart Copeland
Reuben Blades – the humor is razor sharp
Ginger Rogers – the jokes come fast and I love how the callers keep right up with it
Barnard Hughes
Margaret Smith Court
And Corey Feldman
Wolfie tells an ambulance story, or as he calls it an am-bih-lance.
It makes Norm wish he were dead.
Jack Benny makes an appearance…Four times!
Norm is fed up with me and tells me to shut up more than once. He was looking to me to keep some order but I couldn’t help but get caught up in the joke mob mentality. But he sweetens up again.
