This week the Vault has exposed a DBG relic from June 12th, 1991. It’s a good one and I’ve titled it:
Out and About with Umlauts.
Norm begins by giving us a very interesting temperature and then it’s on to a classic traffic network sounder and Jack Harte with all the wall washing, bulb changing, ceiling repairs and work crews you can handle.
Then we get the driest possible show open for Bob Raleigh (as Norm was filling in that night).
Players:
Irene in CT
Judy from Needham
Harry Platcow and Jack Wertheimer
I’m on the phone
Jack Harte
And Mike Epstein producing and playing in studio
Bdays:
George Bush
Jim Nabors
Chick Correa
Vic Damone
David Rockefeller
Ally Sheedy
Uta Hagen
Other things that ‘punctuated’ the show:
We learn that the desks are being locked in sales dept so Norm can’t steal stuff for prizes.
Jack Clark and Carl Yastrzemski wwere traffic reporters.

Bush on the button and Uta on her umlaut
Mike Epstein and Jack Harte are suspected to be the cause of a Hollywood wedding that was abruptly called off.
Some great traffic insight from Jack. You have to listen closely or you might miss it.
