[00:00:00] Speaker A: Thank you for joining us again here this week where laughter and frivolity will enter your bloodstream with a dumb birthday game from July 1, 1995. This one is titled Summer Madness as there are some crazy moments. And speaking of crazy moments, stay tuned for another installment of Signs of Norm. After the show, the players, Barbara from Quebec, Jack and Ottawa, Scotty from Braintree, Dee Dee in West Virginia. I'm on the phone. From parts unknown. We have Jack Hart in Traffic and Hope Shower. Producing and playing in studio. Birthdays. Olivia de Havilland, Farley Granger, Leslie Caron, Sydney Pollock, Jamie Farr, Dan Aykroyd and Carl Lewis. Episode 294 Summer Madness Blazes its way to your ears now up in Quebec. [00:00:56] Speaker B: Hello again. [00:00:58] Speaker C: Hello again, Barbara. In Quebec, I found out one other thing about Canada, but today, not, not your birthday, July 3rd, but today it's Canada Day. Today is Canada. That's right, I did. You didn't even mention that. But I didn't realize that July 1st is, is Canada Day. Because in this year, do you remember the year it became a self governing dominion of Great Britain as the British North America act took effect and so this became Dominion Day or Canada Day. What year, do you remember what year that was? [00:01:32] Speaker B: No, I have no idea. [00:01:33] Speaker C: And July 1st, 1867. So, so, so happy. Well, I know it's long ago, I know that. [00:01:40] Speaker B: I can't remember that far back. [00:01:43] Speaker C: Oh, stop it, stop it. Just because you didn't pay attention in your history class. Here's. Jack is from Canada. See, if he, if he would have known that. Did you. You're. Are you from, from Toronto? [00:01:54] Speaker D: Ottawa? [00:01:54] Speaker C: No, no, not, not. I didn't mean Toronto. I meant the province of Ontario. And you're from Ottawa, the capital. Did you know? Yeah, well, I know you. You must have known today was Canada Day. [00:02:05] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:02:05] Speaker C: Did you know the date was 1867? [00:02:07] Speaker D: Oh, certainly. 128 years. Going strong. [00:02:11] Speaker C: See, Barbara, he knew. He knew. Why didn't you know? [00:02:14] Speaker B: Yeah, well, the people in Ottawa, they're smart. He's near the parliament building. [00:02:20] Speaker D: And we love Quebec. [00:02:21] Speaker B: Oh, and I love Ottawa. [00:02:23] Speaker D: I want Quebec to stay in Canada. [00:02:25] Speaker C: Are you. Are you both single people? You're both married? [00:02:28] Speaker B: Well, I'm single. [00:02:29] Speaker C: And what about you, Jack? [00:02:31] Speaker D: Single. [00:02:32] Speaker C: Hey, what do you think, huh? Does she sound adorable or what? [00:02:35] Speaker B: Certainly. Or what? [00:02:37] Speaker C: Or what is. Does Jack sound nice to you? Maybe we can team you guys up. You don't live that far apart then? [00:02:43] Speaker B: No. [00:02:44] Speaker C: How many miles would you say? A couple hundred. [00:02:46] Speaker B: Oh, yes. [00:02:47] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:02:48] Speaker C: At least 200? Well, you don't live there more than 200 or more. So you don't live that close together then? [00:02:53] Speaker B: No. [00:02:55] Speaker C: Okay. Maybe I'll marry Barbara instead. Then we have Scotty, who's in Braintree, who'll be playing the game with us. Hi, Scotty. [00:03:02] Speaker D: Good morning. [00:03:03] Speaker C: Good morning. How you doing? [00:03:04] Speaker B: Good. [00:03:06] Speaker C: This is not Braintree Day, so there's no special thing going on down there. I don't know why I said that. That really was stupid. Have you played the game with us before? [00:03:14] Speaker D: Yeah, I would say maybe about three years ago. [00:03:17] Speaker C: Okay, can you get really close to your phone and just you talk right up into it, please? [00:03:22] Speaker D: How's that? [00:03:23] Speaker C: Same thing. It doesn't sound any different at all. Maybe it's the phone. [00:03:27] Speaker D: I think it's the phone. [00:03:28] Speaker C: Okay. Dee Dee is down in West Virginia and one of our old friends down there. How you doing? DD I'm fine, Norm. [00:03:35] Speaker B: How are you? [00:03:35] Speaker C: I'm fine, thank you. Can you talk? Can you teach us to talk like you talk? [00:03:40] Speaker B: I certainly hope not. [00:03:42] Speaker C: I know. I think you. I think it's nice the way you talk. It's really, really kind of adorable. [00:03:46] Speaker B: Oh, thank you. [00:03:47] Speaker C: Okay. Excuse the noise here. I'm just getting all my stuff in order. Here we have Tony Nesbitt, WBZ, big time producer and stuff is on the line with us, too. I'm awfully glad you're playing the game with us today, Tony. [00:03:59] Speaker D: I knew that date. You know, I was hoping you would bring everybody on and ask them, what do you. I KNEW it was 1867. [00:04:07] Speaker C: Did you really know? [00:04:08] Speaker B: I did. [00:04:09] Speaker C: How did you happen to know that? [00:04:10] Speaker D: Because it was on Letterman last night. [00:04:15] Speaker C: He made. Oh, he made it. He made a thing. [00:04:17] Speaker B: You shouldn't have been listening to Letterman. You should have been listening to Richard. [00:04:21] Speaker C: Richard who? [00:04:22] Speaker B: Not Richard Norton. [00:04:24] Speaker C: Oh, me, you mean? [00:04:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:04:26] Speaker D: Oh, I work with them. I listen to him enough. [00:04:28] Speaker C: Oh, that's right. He hears more and more of me [00:04:29] Speaker D: than he really cares. I was watching the tape and they mentioned that July 1st is Canada Day. And they asked Paul, of course, who was from Canada. When. When did you know? And he goes, when it became a country, not a dominion any longer. In Slava. When was it? And Paul says, I don't know, 1977. [00:04:45] Speaker C: Oh, that's right. Paul is from. I forgot. Paul Schaefer's from Canada. Yeah. I'm sorry. I was going to ask Jack, who's up in. In Ottawa, what do you do on Canada Day? Do you. Do you have fireworks? And the things we do on the 4th of July here we have the [00:05:01] Speaker D: governor General, the Prime Minister, we have all the major artists. Jazz, rock and roll, and we have major fireworks. And we all hang out our flags, our Canadian flags, very proudly. And we have an old fashioned car show going on today and it's the works. It's a real proud party. [00:05:30] Speaker C: Is that true in the province of Quebec? Barbara, you know what you do up [00:05:33] Speaker D: that way, you do it well. [00:05:35] Speaker B: There are celebrations and. But not too many people hang out their flags. They did Last Saturday was St. John the Baptist day. And that's the Quebec City, Quebec province there. [00:05:53] Speaker C: Does Quebec still sound kind of feel like it's a little bit removed her to the rest of Canada. [00:05:58] Speaker B: And last week they had the Quebec flags all over the place, you know? [00:06:02] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:03] Speaker B: And. I don't know. I don't know. I don't think we'll separate. I hope not. [00:06:09] Speaker C: Oh, I hope you don't. If you've got a beautiful country up there, it'd be ashamed if you start splitting it apart. I'll write a letter to the Prime Minister of Quebec and tell him, don't split, please, for God's sakes, don't split. [00:06:21] Speaker D: Anyway, they came back from the break and they announced when it was. Thank you. [00:06:25] Speaker C: Okay. [00:06:26] Speaker D: Okay. [00:06:27] Speaker B: Interruption. [00:06:28] Speaker C: Oh, the 1867 date. [00:06:30] Speaker D: Okay. [00:06:30] Speaker C: We have a Jack Hart who of course celebrates Canada Day in his own special way. Usually 24 hour traffic network reporter. And I'd like to wish all of Canada a happy day. [00:06:41] Speaker D: Well, thank you. [00:06:42] Speaker B: Thank you very much. [00:06:43] Speaker C: Hey, guess who I ran into tonight. [00:06:45] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:06:46] Speaker C: Linda Chase. Oh, did you. Were you at Kent's? I was out to Ken Kent Steakhouse. Yep. [00:06:51] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:51] Speaker C: Did you get to sing with her? [00:06:53] Speaker E: No, I was out. I was out in that neck of the woods with, with my steady gal. I went to see a movie and we went and decided to have some dinner there, but by the time we [00:07:04] Speaker C: were done eating, it was time for me to go to work. Did you get a chance to talk to Linda at all? [00:07:10] Speaker E: She came and sat with us and chatted for a few minutes. [00:07:13] Speaker C: Oh, that's nice. [00:07:14] Speaker D: What movie did you say? [00:07:15] Speaker E: Apollo 13. [00:07:16] Speaker C: Ah, did you like that? Was that good? [00:07:18] Speaker E: Wonderful. Wonderful movie, wonderful. No, no extra drama needed. Just that was enough. A little bit of a setup. And then, you know, the thing. [00:07:28] Speaker C: And you know what surprises me? Tom Hanks, who's got a hit with this, with this movie is what his third hit in a row. He's still showing up at a lot of talk shows and, and, you know, and, and stuff. You think he. It is such A hit this whole movie that you think he wouldn't have to promote it at all. [00:07:46] Speaker E: You know, I think he just kind of likes to go, I think to go out and just sort of chit chat and have some fun and some laughs. [00:07:52] Speaker D: He's very funny on Letterman the other night. [00:07:54] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:54] Speaker D: Very relaxed, very funny. [00:07:55] Speaker C: I saw him with Larry King this past night. He was on some other show before that. And he's funny. He doesn't. He doesn't. I mean, if, if any one of us. And let's, let's be honest about this. If any one of us were half as successful as he is, what a bunch of snobs we'd be. This guy sits there and talks like, you know, like he's just an ordinary kind of guy with, you know, not this kind of success behind him. [00:08:19] Speaker E: Yeah, he's a great serious actor, but he's just. He's just sort of like a. Like a fun person in general. [00:08:24] Speaker D: I mean, Ron Howard was out promoting it too, on Letterman. [00:08:28] Speaker E: He's somebody else that I think kind of like likes to go out places where he's going to have some fun. [00:08:34] Speaker C: That's right, too. [00:08:34] Speaker D: Great team. Great combination. Hanks and Ron Howard. [00:08:37] Speaker C: Yeah. They seem like decent people. I know when we were learning our knot tying and the same. It was the same scout troop. A scout troop. [00:08:47] Speaker B: I. [00:08:47] Speaker C: Forget it. I see no point finishing that. That's so stupid. Okay. And. Okay. And we have, of course, Hope Shower, who's a WBC producer, will be. You'll be playing the game with us. Matter of fact, lined up all these fantastic people. [00:09:02] Speaker B: It took a lot of work to do that. [00:09:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:09:04] Speaker C: Well, you got, you got this. This made. This may. This may rank as perhaps one of the greatest panels we've ever had in the history of broadcasting North America. Yeah, well, maybe, maybe. Are you Canadian? [00:09:18] Speaker B: No, I'm not. I'm Philadelphian. [00:09:20] Speaker C: Okay. So I thought maybe in. In the spirit of Canada Day, maybe you. You put yourself out a little bit more. [00:09:25] Speaker B: Yeah, I did. I definitely put myself out. [00:09:29] Speaker D: Philadelphia and freedom and Canada. Being free is Italian. [00:09:33] Speaker B: Nice segue. [00:09:34] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:09:34] Speaker C: Excellent, excellent, excellent. [00:09:36] Speaker E: My grandmother was from Canada. [00:09:38] Speaker C: Oh, be quiet. Who asked you? [00:09:41] Speaker B: What was her name? [00:09:43] Speaker C: Where in Canada was she from? [00:09:44] Speaker E: She was from Prince Edward Island. Really? [00:09:46] Speaker D: Because my great grandparents are from Nova Scotia. [00:09:48] Speaker C: Is that right? Yeah. [00:09:49] Speaker E: Wonderful place. [00:09:50] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:09:51] Speaker C: And my parents went to. Went to Canada once. [00:09:56] Speaker D: Well, we have one lucky thing there, Norm. [00:09:58] Speaker C: Yes. [00:09:58] Speaker D: We don't have the right to bear arms. Thank God. [00:10:02] Speaker C: We don't. We don't really have the right to Bear arms as much as they say here, either. We're talking militias. If you're talking about these, these, these, these gun nuts who really keep referring to the Constitution. Now, there are. There's quite a question about all of that. Anyway, if I could ask you, Jack, if you could just boost your. Your microphone up just a little bit. How's that? Oh, that is something so personal, Norm. Yeah, yeah, I do, I do. I just don't care, you know, I'm at the age where I can say things of a sexual content like that. And people say he's an old guy. He probably doesn't. He probably doesn't mean what it sounds like. [00:10:41] Speaker D: He doesn't even know what he's talking. [00:10:42] Speaker C: Yeah, he does know what he's talk. [00:10:43] Speaker D: He doesn't remember it. He doesn't. [00:10:44] Speaker C: They've been saying that for a thousand years anyway. [00:10:47] Speaker E: But it must be some archaic phrase that we don't know yet. [00:10:50] Speaker C: Okay, here. Today is the birthday of Olivia de Havilland, born in Tokyo, Japan. Somebody's really enthused about this, aren't they? She received an Oscar for best actress in 1946 for to each His Own and in 1949 for the Heiress. She is the last surviving name star from Gone with the Wind. Her sister is Joan Fontaine. And today, anyway, is her birthday, July 1, Canada Day. She's born on Canada Day because she would have it no other way. Barbara, what do you think? How old do you think Olivia de Havilland is? [00:11:31] Speaker B: 74. [00:11:32] Speaker C: 74. [00:11:34] Speaker D: Okay. [00:11:34] Speaker C: Jack, what do you say? [00:11:36] Speaker D: I say 71. [00:11:39] Speaker C: Okay. Scotty, what do you think? [00:11:41] Speaker B: 80. [00:11:42] Speaker C: 80. Okay. And Dee? [00:11:45] Speaker B: 78. [00:11:47] Speaker C: Okay. Tony, let's see. [00:11:50] Speaker B: Let me. [00:11:52] Speaker C: Okay. You got those dates anyway? [00:11:54] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm trying. Let's see that. [00:11:55] Speaker C: So that's 40 if 1946 was for teachers. [00:11:58] Speaker D: 50 years ago. 49 years ago. [00:12:00] Speaker C: Yeah, that's right. [00:12:01] Speaker E: Well, what's the. Gone with the wind is 50 some odd. [00:12:05] Speaker C: Well, that was 1939. 1939, that's right. [00:12:09] Speaker D: 56 years ago. Okay, 56. What. What role did she play in Gone with the Wind? [00:12:18] Speaker E: She was a sister. She was. She was Scarlet's younger sister. Cousin. [00:12:23] Speaker C: Cousin. [00:12:24] Speaker D: Younger cousin, yeah. [00:12:25] Speaker E: Who married Ashley Wilkes. [00:12:27] Speaker D: Okay. [00:12:27] Speaker C: Played by Leslie Howard. Leslie Howard, who was in the original version of Pygmalion before it was made into a movie to a musical. It's kind of funny when you see that he was in it with. When. What's the name of the woman who was in 82. [00:12:47] Speaker E: That's. [00:12:48] Speaker C: That's her. That's her. That's her name. Exactly. No, but. But there was a woman who was in Pygmalion. It's weird to see that old movie which was made again before the King at. What am I talking about, [00:13:03] Speaker D: 82. [00:13:05] Speaker C: Okay, Jack, what do you think? [00:13:08] Speaker E: Well, you know what's interesting about Olivia de Havilland and her sister being born in China? The Meadows's Jane and Audrey were also born in China. [00:13:16] Speaker C: Yeah, she was born in Japan, actually. [00:13:18] Speaker E: Oh, I'm sorry. [00:13:19] Speaker C: Yeah, she's born in. Olivia de Havilland was born in Tokyo. [00:13:24] Speaker D: Oh, okay. [00:13:25] Speaker C: Okay. [00:13:26] Speaker D: But still, on the side note there, the Meadow Sisters were. [00:13:30] Speaker E: We're born in China. [00:13:32] Speaker C: Oh, is that right? [00:13:32] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:13:34] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:13:34] Speaker C: That's kind of interesting. [00:13:35] Speaker E: Like, sister acting pairs come from [00:13:40] Speaker D: Far East. [00:13:41] Speaker C: My. My mother was born in the Punjab and my father was born in Tierra del Fuego and they met in Lojada. [00:13:50] Speaker D: And they raised you in the Isle of Perim. [00:13:52] Speaker C: That's right. [00:13:54] Speaker D: Speaking Chaga. [00:13:55] Speaker C: Yeah, my native language. [00:13:58] Speaker D: What a story. Well, that's an incredible story. [00:14:01] Speaker C: It was. It was. He was. He was head of a Belgian copper consortium and she was a beautiful Italian princess. [00:14:11] Speaker D: You have to write all this down. No, I'd love to see this in a movie. [00:14:15] Speaker C: No, they were. They were. They were they. Their love affair shocked about 10 continents, more continents than there actually are. [00:14:23] Speaker D: That's right. It shocked us so much they became seven. [00:14:25] Speaker C: That's right. The island of Ataturk broke off from Alaska as a result of the. This whole kind of love affair was so steamy, it melted the whole race. Cap. Yeah, that's right. Okay. How old is Olivia de Havilland, in case anybody really still cares, Jack. Oh, 83. 83. Okay. And hope shower. What do you think? [00:14:52] Speaker B: I agree. 83. [00:14:54] Speaker C: 83. Okay. Olivia de Havilland. That's a chocolate and then a candy company too, isn't it, Olivia? Yeah. Haviland chocolates. [00:15:04] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Like, they come in the boxes like nonpareils and such, isn't it? [00:15:07] Speaker D: Nonparrels. Nonpareil. [00:15:10] Speaker C: Okay. [00:15:10] Speaker E: You know the nonpareils, little chocolate things [00:15:12] Speaker B: with the snow caps. [00:15:14] Speaker C: That's right. That's. [00:15:14] Speaker D: No caps. That's right. [00:15:16] Speaker C: With the little bodies. Little things on there. Olivia de Havilland is 79 years old today. Dee Dee said 78 and Scotty said 80. So I would say those are the two winners. Scotty and Dee Dee. Yeah, she's 79. [00:15:35] Speaker D: No. Does that mean I actually beat Jack [00:15:37] Speaker C: in one so far? [00:15:38] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. That's a plus, you know. [00:15:41] Speaker C: Oh, it is to beat Jack and Tony both. And Hope is really something. Okay, how about Farley Granger. He reminds me of myself except he's much older but kind of a sophisticated, smooth, kind of good looking guy, you know? [00:15:57] Speaker D: Really? [00:15:59] Speaker C: Okay, see if I can find out something about Farley Granger. [00:16:02] Speaker D: Great name. [00:16:03] Speaker C: It's a great name. Yeah. Finally, Granger. [00:16:05] Speaker D: Kind of an old Yankee farmer type name. [00:16:07] Speaker E: Yeah, it actually sounds like a profession, you know, like Ima Farley Granger [00:16:13] Speaker C: as opposed to a Morris Granger. [00:16:16] Speaker E: He granges the Morris. [00:16:18] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't, I don't even have his name, anything about him listed here. [00:16:22] Speaker D: Oh really? [00:16:23] Speaker C: Except the Associated Press lists him as having a birthday today. Farley Granger. He's been around. Around for a while. That doesn't tell you anything, does it? [00:16:34] Speaker D: No, no. [00:16:36] Speaker C: Finally. Okay, let's start with you Hope. How old do you think a Farley Granger would be? [00:16:42] Speaker D: Not just Far, but just any Farley Granger. [00:16:46] Speaker E: What does he do for a living? What does he do for a living? [00:16:49] Speaker C: No, he's an actor. He's an actor. He's been in a lot of, a lot of movies. I believe he's English. [00:16:53] Speaker E: We thought he had had something to do with like agriculture. [00:16:56] Speaker D: The latest movie. [00:16:57] Speaker C: No, he's been in a lot of movies. He was in some agricultural type movies. Yeah, the Romance of Idaho Potatoes was one of the big movie. [00:17:07] Speaker B: I love you. [00:17:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I love you. [00:17:10] Speaker B: I, I. [00:17:11] Speaker D: Too much. [00:17:11] Speaker B: Never mind. 74. [00:17:13] Speaker C: 74 sounds okay. [00:17:15] Speaker E: The combine accident with Farley. [00:17:18] Speaker D: Yes, that's right. [00:17:20] Speaker C: I fell off a tractor and found love. Remember that one? Oh, that was the love song that came from the movie. [00:17:27] Speaker E: I fell off a tractor and I found love. [00:17:32] Speaker B: Don't give up your night job. [00:17:35] Speaker C: How old do you think he is? Big Jack. Oh, old Farley. [00:17:41] Speaker D: We go way back. Bumpus Bar. [00:17:42] Speaker C: Hi, I'm Sally. I'm Farley Ranger. I come from Maine, you know. Oh sure. [00:17:49] Speaker D: Oh yeah. [00:17:51] Speaker C: I invented the reaper along with Cyrus Eaton. You know, we both invented the ribbon. Oh sure. I'm still collecting. Collecting on that, you know. See, I get a. [00:18:05] Speaker D: Still reaping the award. [00:18:06] Speaker C: I'm reaping the awards. I get it every year. I get a check for $4 and 22 cents. As a matter of fact, for that [00:18:14] Speaker D: I read a bunch in the history class back in high school. [00:18:16] Speaker C: Oh sure. [00:18:18] Speaker D: Eli Whitney and the cotton gin and Frolly Granger and the Reaper. [00:18:22] Speaker C: Yeah, either that maybe, you know, I may be thinking when I'm the Farley Granger. Farley Granger. I think and I think played at our high school prom. It was the Farley Granger Quartet. [00:18:33] Speaker D: Oh, and he could play. He played a mean washboard. [00:18:36] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, yes, I. Maybe he was English. I may be thinking of Stuart Granger. That's right too. [00:18:45] Speaker B: Resembles. Who was Debbie Reynolds first husband there, Eddie Fisher. [00:18:52] Speaker C: He's kind of a good looking guy like that, isn't he? Kind of a, you know, classy, good looking guy, but Farley Granger. Anyway, let me, let me look again, make sure I got the right guy here. No, he's not in the birthday book. [00:19:06] Speaker D: I was going to say, cuz that would give some description of. [00:19:09] Speaker C: No, it doesn't give any. It's not even listed. He's on the AP probably dead list. No, no, the AP is, you know, current thing. [00:19:17] Speaker E: Like in a sentence. Could you say, like if someone asked [00:19:19] Speaker C: you how much mileage you get on [00:19:21] Speaker E: your car, could you say I fill up the tank and I can go Farley? [00:19:25] Speaker C: No, you couldn't. You can't do that. He is listed as an actor, however, and so you. Anyway, Jack, stop stalling, would you, for God's sake? [00:19:35] Speaker E: His name is Farley. When was that name popular? Yeah, yeah, someone named Farley sitting at home right now. Hey, that's my name. I'll say he's. With a name like Farley, he's got to be 82. [00:19:50] Speaker C: With a name like Farley, he's got to be 82, right low. What do you say? Rossi? Rossi, Rossy. Look, Rossy, you asked me for a raise one more time. [00:20:04] Speaker D: Should I bring Mike Tyson out of retirement? [00:20:09] Speaker C: That's right. Do your. You want to do the Tyson? This is Mike Tyson Talk being interviewed by Mason Adams of the Los Angeles newspaper, of which Lou Grant is the editor. Okay, okay, now hold on a minute. I'll lead into a question. Okay, Mike, Mike, I want to do an interview with you and I wanna. I'm assigning Rossi. He's gonna do the thing. Okay? Is that okay with you, Lou? [00:20:34] Speaker D: Oh, Rossi. [00:20:34] Speaker B: Rossi's gonna be there. That's so good. I love Rossi. Rossi. I hope he's at the fight. [00:20:42] Speaker D: I have four questions. [00:20:43] Speaker B: I'm dumping Don King. I've had enough of Don King. [00:20:46] Speaker C: Farley Granger is my man. Finally. [00:20:47] Speaker D: Stranger's gonna promote me from now on. [00:20:51] Speaker C: I, I can't believe I actually, you know. [00:20:55] Speaker E: You know, [00:20:59] Speaker C: I. I think I want to hit you right in the smuckers. And you'll never be able to sit down and play the cello ever again. [00:21:07] Speaker B: You know, I don't know what that is up here in Quebec. What is it? [00:21:10] Speaker C: Okay, it doesn't matter. We're just Having fun? Y. Yep. Okay. Tony, how old is Harley Ranger? Am I sorry we brought up his name? [00:21:22] Speaker D: That's also sound like an instrument too, you know, Frolly Granger. Have you ever played that? Oh, man. [00:21:29] Speaker C: Or. [00:21:30] Speaker B: Or a bodily function. [00:21:31] Speaker D: It's got 18 strings. [00:21:34] Speaker C: Charlie Granger suggested if. I hope that he's a. It's a bodily function. [00:21:41] Speaker D: Tony might be a rock artist. [00:21:43] Speaker E: And as you can see here, down by the Farley Granger, there is a small protruding. [00:21:47] Speaker C: And that's going to be. [00:21:49] Speaker D: Now, Norm, since you. You kind of. You thought you knew who he was and you said he was older than you were. [00:21:55] Speaker C: No, I didn't establish that. [00:21:57] Speaker D: You might not know who he is. [00:21:58] Speaker C: No, no, no, I know Stuart Granger. Stuart Granger is older than Farley Granger? No, no, he is Stuart Granger. I don't know. I could look him up. [00:22:08] Speaker E: But wait a second. [00:22:11] Speaker C: No, finally, Granger is young, right? Oh, I'll look up. Outlook up. Stuart Granger. Do you realize we haven't hardly started the second thing here yet? And it's already 3:31. Okay, well, what the heck do we care? [00:22:24] Speaker D: I mean, yesterday. You're right. What do we care? [00:22:27] Speaker C: What the heck do we. Okay. Stuart Granger was born May 6, while, as you can see, Farley Granger was born July 1. What date did I just say? [00:22:38] Speaker D: May 6. [00:22:39] Speaker C: May 6. [00:22:40] Speaker D: Okay, that's some memory. [00:22:42] Speaker C: I know, but it's really pitiful. Oh, he died in 1993 anyway. But he was born in 1913. So what, that make him 6, 70 years or 80 years old? [00:22:53] Speaker E: Make him 82? [00:22:55] Speaker C: No, but I mean, he died at the age of 80. [00:22:57] Speaker D: But he would have been 82. [00:22:59] Speaker C: He would have been 82. Yeah. [00:23:00] Speaker D: He's older. [00:23:01] Speaker C: He's older. He's older than Farley is. Yes. [00:23:04] Speaker D: Oh, so maybe Jack should have to [00:23:06] Speaker C: change his answer at 82. What are we making such a deal? [00:23:10] Speaker D: I don't know. Who is this guy anyway? [00:23:13] Speaker C: He's an actor. No, he's a young. [00:23:15] Speaker D: Wait a minute, wait a minute. [00:23:16] Speaker B: Norm. [00:23:16] Speaker C: Yeah? [00:23:18] Speaker E: Isn't there like an amendment to the Constitution, the Farley Granger. [00:23:22] Speaker C: Bill, will you please. [00:23:24] Speaker D: Because your. Your birthday book doesn't list him on today. Is it possible that if you looked at the index under his name, he may be listed under a different day? [00:23:33] Speaker C: Yes, it could be. [00:23:34] Speaker D: I wanted to try that. [00:23:34] Speaker C: I will look at. [00:23:36] Speaker E: He might have been tall and born on several days. [00:23:38] Speaker C: That's right. That was Larry Bird. He was born May 6th, 7th and 8th. That's how tall he was. Okay, Grandeur let's see. Hold on here a minute. Farley. Grandeur. It says, see agriculture supplies. [00:23:59] Speaker D: Also see farmers. [00:24:01] Speaker C: Yeah, see? See Granger. Farley. No, he said Farley. Only Stuart Granger's listed here. Yeah, I suppose they had to make [00:24:09] Speaker D: a pretty much a nobody. [00:24:10] Speaker C: Apparently so. But I've seen him in movies and I've always thought I looked a little like him. He's very smooth and sophisticated. Extremely good looking. Can we start guessing? All right. [00:24:20] Speaker E: Can we start guessing the ages of [00:24:22] Speaker C: my neighbors next, when you stop? [00:24:24] Speaker D: 73. [00:24:25] Speaker C: 73. Okay. And what do you think, Dee Dee? [00:24:28] Speaker B: 80. [00:24:29] Speaker C: Aren't you nice? You were quiet during all of this. Were you sickened? Is that the result? You didn't say anything. [00:24:34] Speaker B: I was laughing. I was. [00:24:36] Speaker C: Okay, Scotty, what do you say? [00:24:40] Speaker D: 79. [00:24:41] Speaker C: Okay, Jack. [00:24:43] Speaker D: Ottawa. [00:24:44] Speaker C: Yeah, the Jack from Ottawa. That's right. [00:24:46] Speaker D: Okay, I'll see. 81. [00:24:50] Speaker C: 81. And what do you say, Barbara from Quebec? [00:24:53] Speaker B: 70. [00:24:54] Speaker C: 70 is exactly right. 70 is right. He's 70 years old today. [00:24:59] Speaker B: I'm the only one who knows him. [00:25:02] Speaker C: You remembered it. You remember him? Yes, because I do, too. [00:25:06] Speaker D: Was he an actual agricultural tool? [00:25:09] Speaker C: Yes, he was. Now, don't be a wise guy. We've just been milking that one. [00:25:14] Speaker D: Not milking that one. [00:25:15] Speaker C: Milk in that one. [00:25:16] Speaker D: It was probably Granger Milker. [00:25:18] Speaker C: Okay, Leslie. Leslie Karan, the actress? Dancer. Nominated for best actress in 1953 for Lily and in 1963 for the L Shaped Room. She appeared in Gigi or Gigi with Louis Jourdan. Wasn't Marie Chevalier in that as well? I think Marie Chevalier. [00:25:41] Speaker D: Wait a minute. [00:25:41] Speaker C: Yes, I think Marie Chevalier was in that movie, too. Thank heavens for Little Girl. Well, that was. That was not Lily. Wasn't that Gigi? That was Gigi. [00:25:58] Speaker B: I think that's possible. And Hermione Jingles was in that, too. [00:26:05] Speaker D: Pardon me. [00:26:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:26:09] Speaker E: If you have Hermione Gingles, [00:26:13] Speaker D: Jack from Boston, Massachusetts, has some money ingles on Gold Bond Cream. [00:26:17] Speaker E: Jack. [00:26:19] Speaker C: All right, all right, you guys. Jack. Jack from Canada. How old do you think Leslie Caron is? You. [00:26:28] Speaker D: You said 61. No. [00:26:31] Speaker C: Nobody said anything yet. [00:26:33] Speaker D: No. [00:26:33] Speaker C: So you're taking the first guess. Nothing worth hearing anyway. [00:26:36] Speaker D: Wow. You said Gigi, right? [00:26:39] Speaker C: She was in Gigi. Yeah, I said she was in the Gigi in in 19 or Lily in 1963 and Gigi with Louis Jordan. I don't know what the year was. That was a little bit after that. She was in Lily in 1953. In 1963. What am I talking about? I don't even care okay, how old do you think she is? [00:27:05] Speaker D: Say 85. [00:27:07] Speaker C: 85. Thank heavens. Old wrinkles, ladies. [00:27:16] Speaker D: The older the better. [00:27:20] Speaker C: Suddenly, from that little cute little kid she's got. She's got to be dilapidated old broad, isn't she? Dee Dee, what do you think? How old is Leslie? [00:27:28] Speaker D: Carol? That was meant to be. [00:27:39] Speaker C: What are you saying, de? [00:27:40] Speaker B: 59. [00:27:41] Speaker C: 59. Okay. And hope, what do you say? I think Hope is having spasms. And I think I am too, to tell you the truth. [00:27:56] Speaker B: Oh, baby. [00:27:57] Speaker D: Oh, baby. [00:27:57] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, baby, baby. Oh, baby. More. More spas. [00:28:00] Speaker B: When Jack gets started, I mean, it's like 63. [00:28:04] Speaker C: 63. [00:28:06] Speaker D: Okay. [00:28:07] Speaker C: And Barbara, what do you think? [00:28:09] Speaker B: 65. [00:28:10] Speaker C: 65 says Barbara. Okay, Tony, you know, I was gonna [00:28:13] Speaker D: ask you for certain dates and stuff, but I don't care either, anymore. [00:28:16] Speaker C: 64. Okay, 64. Scotty, how much? [00:28:22] Speaker D: 68. [00:28:23] Speaker C: 68. [00:28:24] Speaker E: Okay, Jack, I'll say 68 too. [00:28:27] Speaker C: 68 too. Okay, she's actually 64. And Tony said 64. See, we have a lot of. A lot of people. Guess the one correct answer, Barbara. Scotty, DD And Tony, how about. [00:28:44] Speaker D: Do you think that's what. Just the chorus of that song again, Norm. [00:28:47] Speaker C: We thank Evans for a little girl. [00:28:49] Speaker D: No. Well, wrinkled. [00:28:50] Speaker C: Oh, wrinkled old ladies. A wrinkled old. Okay, how about Sidney Pollock? Sidney Pollock was in Tootsie, remember? He was the agent. [00:29:00] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:29:00] Speaker C: Plus, he's mostly a director, but he has done some acting too. Kind of a disheveled guy. Well, his films include. They Shoot horses, don't they? The way we were at Tootsie Havana, Husbands and Wives, Used People and the Firm. [00:29:15] Speaker D: Not a bad. [00:29:17] Speaker C: Not a bad lineup at all. And Tootsie, remember, he sat down with Dustin Hoffman and said. And it was criticizing because he made such a big deal. Dustin Hoffman did. Out of playing a vegetable. A tomato or something. Yeah. [00:29:31] Speaker D: Yep. [00:29:31] Speaker C: And Dustin Hoffman was sitting there dressed, you know, in drag. He was playing. Anyway, that was Sidney Pollock. [00:29:38] Speaker D: I didn't know she was in the Firm. [00:29:41] Speaker C: No, no, he wasn't in all these movies. Mostly he directed more than he starred in movies. He did star, and he was one of the actors in Tootsie. But he mostly directed these other ones that we mentioned. [00:29:53] Speaker D: I didn't mean to put the woman down as an older age. [00:29:57] Speaker C: No, you didn't. I did. I was the one that did that. You probably got lost your place in the script. Okay. Tell me, Scotty, how old do you think Sidney Pollock is? [00:30:07] Speaker D: I would say [00:30:10] Speaker C: 72. And what would you say, Jack? [00:30:14] Speaker D: Jack from Ottawa. [00:30:16] Speaker C: I'm sorry? Jack from Canada. Yes, that's correct. [00:30:18] Speaker D: I'll say 60. [00:30:20] Speaker C: 60. Okay. And Jack from the traffic place in the sky. [00:30:28] Speaker D: Let's see. [00:30:29] Speaker C: Sydney Pollock. [00:30:30] Speaker E: Yeah, you know, there's something fishy about that. Let's see. Sidney Pollock. Let's see. [00:30:42] Speaker C: How long ago was Tootsie? He's at least 50 in that movie, and it's gonna be at least 15 years ago, so I'd say he was at at least 65. Well, the old mine down here. Okay, Barbara, what do you think? [00:30:57] Speaker B: 66. [00:30:58] Speaker C: And dd you say 66 also. Okay. And Hope? [00:31:05] Speaker B: 61. [00:31:06] Speaker C: And Tony? [00:31:08] Speaker D: 60. What did Jack say? [00:31:11] Speaker C: Jack says 65. [00:31:12] Speaker D: 66. [00:31:14] Speaker C: 66. Okay. He's actually 61. That's what Hope said. Oh, yeah, yeah, 61. And Jack from Canada said 60. So you were pretty close, too. But Hope wins that round as we go to Jamie Farr. I tell you what. Take a little break here. You know, we'll take a little break and then we'll come right back. [00:31:38] Speaker D: Okay? [00:31:38] Speaker C: Don't go away. Anybody. Okay. We all know someone, I tell you. Okay. You're all with. With us now. [00:31:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:31:45] Speaker C: Okay, here is. Today is the birthday. July 1 is the birthday of Jamie Farr. [00:31:53] Speaker D: Far Far. [00:31:53] Speaker C: You know, Jamie Farr, Real name Jamal Farrar. That's right. Jamil. J A M E E L it says here. Jamil Farah. And in Toledo, Ohio, Clinger on the MASH TV series. He was in the film Scrooged and stuff. Anyway, Jamie Far Far, I guess will always be known as the guy who wore the dresses and stuff in mash. [00:32:16] Speaker E: He was also in the movie the Blackboard Jungle with Sidney Portier. He played one of the students. He was one of the students. I kept on wondering, why do I know that face? And then in the credits came up Jamil Farah. And he was also occasionally the delivery boy on the Dick Van Dyke show who brought up sandwiches and prune danishes and such. [00:32:37] Speaker C: Is that right? Yeah. Oh, that's funny. Okay, let's see. Let's start with Udd, Jamie Farr. How old do you think he is? [00:32:47] Speaker B: 60. [00:32:48] Speaker C: 60. Okay. And let's see. Jack from Canada. What do you think? [00:33:01] Speaker E: Maybe you went to get a sandwich. [00:33:06] Speaker C: Are you there, Jack from Canada? Maybe he's not there. Okay, Jack Hart, then why don't you go next and we'll go back to him, and if he's not there, then we'll send a search party up to Canada. [00:33:21] Speaker B: Dog team. [00:33:22] Speaker C: Dog team would be good. Mm. [00:33:24] Speaker E: The age of the oldest corporal in the U.S. army. Let me see. He's gotta be 63. [00:33:37] Speaker C: Okay. And Hope, what do you think? [00:33:41] Speaker B: 59. [00:33:42] Speaker C: 59. Okay, Tony, what do you say? [00:33:45] Speaker D: 61. [00:33:46] Speaker C: Tony says 61. And are you there, Jack? Jack from Canada. How about you, Barbara? [00:33:54] Speaker B: I'm here. [00:33:55] Speaker D: Okay, 64. [00:33:57] Speaker C: 64. Okay. And Scotty? [00:34:00] Speaker B: 58. [00:34:01] Speaker C: 58. Okay. Jack, this Jack seems to have left. Oh, you know what happened? He didn't leave us. I left him. [00:34:08] Speaker D: What'd you do? [00:34:09] Speaker C: Somebody must have pressed to hit the wrong something or other and I lost him. Yeah, no, he's not on. Do you want to try him? See if we can get him back in? Is that him on there now? [00:34:17] Speaker D: Buzzing. [00:34:18] Speaker C: Can we get him? I'm sorry I haven't announced Jamie Farr's birthday. No, that was my fault. That wasn't his. [00:34:28] Speaker D: Can we get him back in time? [00:34:30] Speaker C: Yeah, we're working on that. Right this very moment. We expect them to get him back by next Tuesday. [00:34:35] Speaker D: Well, we can go back talking about Farley Granger, [00:34:40] Speaker C: okay? [00:34:41] Speaker D: Farley. [00:34:42] Speaker C: Farley Granger. [00:34:43] Speaker E: King over the Wild Frontier. [00:34:45] Speaker C: Okay. Can we get him back quickly so that we don't keep holding this thing up? You know how to do that? [00:34:50] Speaker D: Like it's gonna matter, Norm. Yeah, yeah. [00:34:52] Speaker C: How much are you there now? Jack? [00:34:54] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:34:55] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I followed up on you. That's my fault. We were guessing the age of Jamie Farr. Did you hear any of that discussion about him? A little bit, but he's. He was from mash. He was Clinger and Mash and stuff, and you're the only one who hasn't guessed. So actually, we haven't lost anything so far. How old do you think he is? [00:35:12] Speaker D: Oh, well, who. What. What party in mash? [00:35:16] Speaker C: Jamie Farr. He was Klinger, the guy who used to like to wear women's clothing because he thought that would get him a discharge from the service. [00:35:23] Speaker D: I'd say 47. [00:35:24] Speaker C: 47. [00:35:25] Speaker D: Okay. [00:35:26] Speaker C: Jamie Fayette today, 61. And Tony said 61 right on the button. So Tony's now leading the pack with two and a lot of one winners as we go to Dan Aykroyd. This is Dan Aykroyd's birthday today. Son of a guy. Yeah. Dan Ankroyd. Let's see. [00:35:46] Speaker E: Born on Canada Day. [00:35:48] Speaker C: That's right. And he's from Canada. [00:35:50] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:51] Speaker C: Saturday Night Live. His films include the North Exit to Eden, Chaplin sneakers, Coneheads, Blues Brothers as Elwood Blues with John Belushi, and Dragnet, of course, the remake of the old TV series. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Driving Miss Daisy. He was also in My Girl and a TV sitcom, ccpd, whatever that might be. No, he studied criminology at Carleton College in Ottaway. Where's Ottaway, Jack? [00:36:29] Speaker D: No, it's. It's Ottawa Carleton. And it's Carleton University. [00:36:34] Speaker C: It's. Oh, this is Carleton College in Ottawa. It's not. It's Carleton University in Ottawa. [00:36:40] Speaker D: Yeah, it's Carlton. It's Carleton University. He was in town just last summer. [00:36:48] Speaker C: Well, okay. [00:36:51] Speaker D: Drove the mayor on his. In the back seat of a motorcycle. The. [00:36:56] Speaker C: The. The mayor of Ottawa. Yeah. Rode on the back seat of Dan Akro's motorcycle. [00:37:01] Speaker D: Yes. [00:37:03] Speaker C: Did you see that? [00:37:04] Speaker D: Yes. I was down in the Spark Street Mall. We have a big mall near problem. And. Yeah, it was quite spectacular. [00:37:13] Speaker C: Yeah, you make you. You paint a picture of it being spectacular just by the enthusiasm. [00:37:19] Speaker D: There was a lot of people there. Yeah, he gave him the key to the city, and it was his day. [00:37:25] Speaker C: When Was that? [00:37:27] Speaker D: June. July 1st. [00:37:28] Speaker C: I must have been in July. [00:37:30] Speaker D: No, no, it was. [00:37:31] Speaker C: It was not on Canada Day. [00:37:32] Speaker D: No, no, it was last. Last summer. [00:37:35] Speaker C: Okay, well, it could have been Canada Day then, too, or close. [00:37:38] Speaker D: No, it wasn't. [00:37:39] Speaker C: I wasn't. Okay. Okay, Dan, what do you say? Jack? How old is Dan aykroyd then? [00:37:44] Speaker D: I'd say 47. [00:37:48] Speaker C: 47, you'd say. And, Barbara, since we're talking about Canadian, why don't you take the next shot? How old do you think he is? [00:37:54] Speaker B: 49. [00:37:55] Speaker C: 49. Okay. And Dee Dee? [00:38:01] Speaker B: 51. [00:38:01] Speaker C: 51. Scotty? 49. Hey, Scotty says 49. And Jack Hart. [00:38:11] Speaker E: So I go 49 off 50. [00:38:13] Speaker C: God, I don't know what a decision that is to make. Huh? [00:38:16] Speaker E: Yeah, just trying to do the math here. What year did send. I think it was 29 when that started. Was that 74? 70. [00:38:23] Speaker C: I don't have a single date in all of. All of those movies. Doesn't give one single date. Not one date. Oh, geez. [00:38:30] Speaker D: Saturday Live is 20 years old this past year. [00:38:33] Speaker E: Okay, and he was what, the original 75 or 74? [00:38:37] Speaker D: That would be 75. [00:38:39] Speaker E: Okay, so 49. [00:38:40] Speaker D: Well, no, no, wait a minute. [00:38:41] Speaker C: 94. [00:38:42] Speaker D: 95 season. So 94. 74. 74. [00:38:45] Speaker E: 74. I'm gonna say he's 49. [00:38:49] Speaker C: 49. Okay. And what do you say, Tony? [00:38:51] Speaker D: 43. [00:38:52] Speaker C: 43. And Hope? [00:38:54] Speaker B: 46. [00:38:56] Speaker C: Hope says 46. Okay. He's actually 43. Tony, you hit it right again. [00:38:59] Speaker D: I heard that. Yes. [00:39:02] Speaker C: Did you know that you actually knew his age? Yep. [00:39:04] Speaker B: Oh, you're so smart. [00:39:05] Speaker C: Oh, that's good. Now, how did you happen to know [00:39:07] Speaker D: That I think I read something recently. [00:39:11] Speaker E: Now, you see in my newspaper, the. The other part of the three was smudged. [00:39:16] Speaker D: Oh, really? [00:39:17] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:39:17] Speaker E: The front part curled around and looked like an eight. [00:39:20] Speaker C: You see? Yeah. You know. You see. Okay. Okay, here's Kyle Lewis. This will be the. Probably the last one because we're starting to head toward the news. Carl Lewis, Olympic track star from Houston, Texas. Gold medal. Gold medal winner several times. And how old do you think he is on this very day? Carl Lewis reminded me very much of myself when I was trying out for the track team at Chelsea High School during the. You know, I did the. I did the 440. Yeah, that's once around the football field. You know, the track around there, that's the quarter mile. I tried for the 220, but you had to be fast for that. Now you have to be fast for even the 73 mile. Not. I mean, it's amazing how athletes have improved so much. Anyway, you probably want to know, did I make the track team? And how successful was. I will tell the answer later on, but first, watch this. Anyway, let's start with you. Let's see. We'll start with Tony. How old do you think Carl Lewis is? I don't have any dates to give you on that one either. [00:40:39] Speaker D: But he was in 88 Olympics, right? [00:40:43] Speaker C: I don't know. Was that right? [00:40:44] Speaker D: And then the 92 Olympics. [00:40:48] Speaker C: Okay. [00:40:48] Speaker D: Wasn't 88 the one with. Was it that long ago? Ben Johnson, that whole Controversy was in 92, who is probably. [00:41:00] Speaker B: Johnson was disqualified. [00:41:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:41:02] Speaker D: That's where he got the medal. [00:41:06] Speaker C: 88. [00:41:07] Speaker D: Was it an 88, Jack? I believe so. [00:41:09] Speaker C: Okay. [00:41:10] Speaker D: Yeah. So what are we talking, seven years ago? It was probably. Yeah. And he adds seven to that. Good. [00:41:24] Speaker C: Okay. I've just come back from the bathroom. [00:41:29] Speaker D: I'm sorry. I'm just trying to, you know, I'm trying to go, you know, climb over these hurdles to get to his age. [00:41:37] Speaker E: No, Tony, he can't keep track of what you're saying. [00:41:42] Speaker D: The game certainly is not off to a running start. Anything else? No. [00:41:50] Speaker B: Don't make the long jump. No. Oh, stop. [00:41:54] Speaker D: 33. [00:41:56] Speaker C: I'm sorry. Is that the answer? I kind of fell asleep. [00:42:00] Speaker D: Yes. Yeah. [00:42:01] Speaker C: 33. Okay. 33. Okay. Barbara, what do you think? [00:42:06] Speaker B: 29. [00:42:07] Speaker C: 29. [00:42:08] Speaker D: Okay. [00:42:09] Speaker C: And Scotty? [00:42:10] Speaker D: 35. [00:42:11] Speaker C: Scotty says 35. And see? [00:42:16] Speaker B: Hope. I. I agree with Barbara because she sounds so good and I think she should speak French. I agree with her. Whatever she said, I can't say that. 29. [00:42:29] Speaker C: 29. Okay. Jack Hart, what do you Say, see. [00:42:38] Speaker E: Van duf. Isn't that 28? Or is that 20 egg? [00:42:49] Speaker B: Oh, no. Do you know what you just said, Jack? [00:42:51] Speaker D: Yeah. Oh, my God. Tell him what he said. [00:42:55] Speaker C: Okay. Are you saying 28? [00:42:57] Speaker D: But what did he really say? So what are you saying? [00:43:01] Speaker B: I'm not telling. [00:43:02] Speaker D: Oh, my God. [00:43:05] Speaker E: French People all over 38 states and beyond the sitting around saying, oh, my God, he seemed like such a nice man. [00:43:13] Speaker B: He was a nice boy. I enjoyed it. [00:43:19] Speaker D: Jack. Write that word down, whatever the heck it is. [00:43:22] Speaker E: Yeah, so I'll go up to Canada next Thursday. [00:43:24] Speaker C: Hello, baby event. And you get slapped right across the face. Fresh. Jack from Canada, what do you. What do you think? How old do you think Cal Lewis is, Carlos, Whoever we're talking about [00:43:41] Speaker D: 31 years old. [00:43:43] Speaker C: 31. Okay. How come you're not laughing hysterically like the rest of us, Jack from Canada? [00:43:50] Speaker D: Well, I want to find the answer to what you said. [00:43:57] Speaker C: That's your answer. That's your answer, Jack. But it's not good enough. Okay, Dee Dee, what do you say? [00:44:03] Speaker B: 33. [00:44:04] Speaker C: DeeDee says 33. Okay. Carl Lewis. Actually, today is actually 34. 34. Yeah. So. So the Scotty said 35 is right. And Dee Dee and Tony, who both said 33 are correct. And Tony now has three correct answers. Scotty has two and one apiece from Barbara and Hope and Dee Dee. No, And Barbara and Hope. That's right. Jack. And the two Jacks have nothing. Wow, wow, wow. Is that a coincidence? Eh? [00:44:41] Speaker D: Can we get a plaque made for this? Because I don't think I've ever seen. Heard a game that Jack didn't get anything. [00:44:46] Speaker C: Oh, as a matter of fact, Tony's got four. Not. Not three, you know. No, you've got four. Four correct answers. I think we're gonna have to wind this up right this very moment because we get working. Yeah, because. But that's okay. Tony has one. He's got four. [00:45:02] Speaker D: We get a key ring. [00:45:04] Speaker C: Oh, you get. You get nothing for God. Saints. [00:45:07] Speaker D: What are you. [00:45:07] Speaker C: What do you. We had a key ring. [00:45:11] Speaker E: Hey, look, you'll get the fireworks later on tonight. What more do you want? [00:45:14] Speaker C: Yeah, that's right. If you. If you won, you would certainly would get the key ring. But I want to thank you very much. And thank you very much as you go out the door there. Hope she's waving him and. And not making too much noise at that, Barbara. It's a pleasure to talk to you. [00:45:29] Speaker B: Okay? I want to wish you all a happy 4th of July and a happy [00:45:33] Speaker C: Canada Day to you, Barbara. [00:45:34] Speaker B: Happy Very much. [00:45:35] Speaker C: Thank you. Bye bye. [00:45:37] Speaker B: Bye bye. [00:45:38] Speaker C: And same to you, Jack. Thank you from Canada. [00:45:41] Speaker D: Happy 4th of July and Happy Canada Day. All the best. And keep the Democrats in power, by the way, here. [00:45:50] Speaker C: I'll do the best I can all [00:45:51] Speaker D: over the United States. [00:45:53] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. Thank you, Jack and Jack Hart. Thank you. Thank you. Listening. [00:45:59] Speaker E: We'll be. [00:46:00] Speaker C: We're kind of excited about your next report. [00:46:02] Speaker E: So am I. [00:46:04] Speaker C: Okay, go get him. And you too, Tony. Always a pleasure, as you know. [00:46:08] Speaker D: Oh, well, it's been a great week, Norm. [00:46:11] Speaker C: It's been kind of fun. I've been a lot of fun. I've enjoyed it. And let's do it again. One day after the war, we'll meet in that little cafe in Brussels and [00:46:19] Speaker E: do the whole thing all over again. [00:46:20] Speaker D: Oh, I'm glad you said Brussels because I was going to start driving to Antwerp. [00:46:24] Speaker C: Oh, that's right. I think it is Antwerp. Hold on and I'll let you know. Okay, take care. [00:46:29] Speaker D: Bye bye. [00:46:30] Speaker C: And you too, Dee Dee and Scott. Thank you, Scotty. Thank you very much. [00:46:33] Speaker B: Yeah, thanks. [00:46:34] Speaker C: Okay, bye bye. Bye bye, both you guys. [00:46:37] Speaker A: Okay, so here's my latest sign of Norm. In this episode, you heard Norm mention Canada Day, Haviland chocolate, Belgian copper consortiums. In Jack and Norm discussing who was born in Japan versus China, I went to check on the chocolate reference out on the cybernetter verses and this is what appeared all on the first search page, mind you. Haviland aircraft out of Canada, Belgian chocolates and then Limoges chocolate pot Haviland in China. Now, I understand that searching for chocolate could bring up the term Belgian, but when all are combined on one page, Haviland, Canada, Belgian and China, it's hard not to think of it as another sign of Norm. What do you think? The veil has been thinned between worlds. So who knows what I may have to report on for the next broadcast. Closing the vault and leaving this world a little sillier than we found it for Canada Day. Canadian province Love fests, Not Braintree Day. St. John the Baptist Day, Ken Steakhouse, Linda Chase. Steady gals. Putting yourself out there. Boosting your mic up a little bit. Movie trivia facts. The Punjab, Tierra del Fuego, Lahada in the Isle of Perime Chagra. Belgian copper consortiums, beautiful Italian princesses. The love affair that shocked 10 continents. The island of Ataturk, nonpareils and parels, snow caps. The romance of Idaho potatoes. The combine accident and its Academy Award winning theme song, I Fell off of a tractor and Found Love by the Farley Granger washboard quartet. The AP list. Norm's Mason Adams impression. My Mike Tyson impression. The great Farley Granger debate. See agricultural supplies. Lillian Gigi spasms. Corporal Klinger, Elwood Blues. Painted pictures of enthusiasm. The Chelsea High School 440. Our very own gold medal winners. Hope shower from that traffic place in the sky. Jack Hart and Norm. What am I talking about, Nathan? I'm your big time producer, Tony Nesbitt. [00:49:02] Speaker C: Hey, Kevin. Old wrinkles, ladies. [00:49:07] Speaker D: The older the better.
